Rebecca Cheptegei es una corredora de Uganda. Participa en los Juegos Olímpicos de París.
Su ex novio la ataca. La rocía con gasolina y le prende fuego. Esto ocurre después de que ella vuelva a casa de la iglesia en Kenia. Rebecca está muy herida. Muere cuatro días después. Su ex novio también está herido y en el hospital.
Rebecca empieza a correr por Uganda en 2010. También gana una medalla en carreras de montaña. La gente dice que es muy amable y simpática. Rebecca es de Uganda, pero vive y se entrena en Kenia. Es la tercera mujer atleta que muere en Kenia desde 2010.
