El sol está muy caliente y es muy activo. Envía grandes tormentas al espacio. Estas tormentas se mueven hacia la Tierra. Agitan el campo magnético de la Tierra y producen una fuerte energía. Esto hace que el cielo se ilumine. La gente ve auroras boreales en muchos lugares.
Las tormentas también causan problemas. Las líneas eléctricas reciben energía extra. Los trabajadores intentan mantener el sistema seguro. Los satélites en el cielo necesitan más combustible porque las tormentas tiran de ellos hacia abajo.
El GPS y los cohetes también tienen problemas. El GPS no es muy correcto en las tormentas fuertes. Los científicos observan las tormentas todo el tiempo e intentan ayudar a la gente a mantenerse a salvo.
