Los adolescentes belgas deben votar – nivel 2

El Tribunal Supremo de Bélgica ha decidido que los jóvenes de 16 y 17 años deben votar en las elecciones europeas. Las elecciones tendrán lugar en junio de 2024.
Esto significa que ahora los jóvenes tienen que votar, igual que los adultos. Antes de esta decisión, sólo debían votar los adultos. Si no lo hacían, recibían una multa. Ahora, los adolescentes también pueden tener problemas por no votar. A algunos les parece una buena idea, pero a otros no les gusta que la decisión haya llegado tan cerca de la fecha límite para inscribirse en el censo electoral.
Pero Bélgica quiere que más jóvenes se interesen por las cosas públicas y participen en el proceso.
