En Bélgica, una nueva norma establece que las personas de 16 y 17 años deben votar en las elecciones.
Antes, sólo debían votar los adultos. Pero ahora los adolescentes también deben hacerlo. Si no votan, pueden tener problemas. Pueden pagar dinero. Algunas personas piensan que esto está bien. Ayuda a los jóvenes a aprender a votar. Pero a otros no les gusta la nueva norma. Dicen que no es justa. La norma llega poco antes de las elecciones. Las elecciones se celebran en junio de 2024. Los adolescentes necesitan más tiempo para prepararse.
Bélgica quiere que haya más gente interesada en votar y en las cosas públicas.
