Robot arregla cables de ferrocarril – nivel 3

En Japón, unos ingenieros han fabricado un robot humanoide gigante que parece sacado de una película de ciencia ficción. Está arreglando cables de ferrocarril que los humanos no pueden alcanzar.
JR West y otras dos empresas desarrollaron el robot para realizar tareas que se consideran demasiado arriesgadas para los humanos. Diseñaron el robot para reducir el riesgo de electrocución y caída, y la empresa afirma que el robot reduce el trabajo humano en un tercio.
Montaron el robot en una grúa, y un ingeniero lo controla mediante un casco de RV y mandos a distancia. El robot puede levantar equipos especiales de hasta 40 kilos de peso hasta una altura de casi diez metros.
Actualmente, los trabajadores de mantenimiento lo utilizan en las líneas de contacto ferroviarias de Japón que están fuera de su alcance. JR West espera ponerlo en pleno servicio a principios de 2024.
