Ingenieros japoneses utilizan un robot gigante para reparar cables de ferrocarril.
JR West y otras dos empresas han desarrollado el robot para hacer más segura y fácil la vida de los trabajadores. El robot puede hacer cosas que son demasiado peligrosas para las personas. Reduce el riesgo de electrocución y caídas, y también ahorra trabajo a las personas.
El robot está sobre una grúa, y un trabajador lo controla virtualmente. El robot puede levantar un objeto de hasta 40 kilos hasta una altura de diez metros.
Los trabajadores utilizan el robot en zonas de difícil acceso. Para 2024, JR West espera que estos robots ayuden en muchos lugares además de Japón.
