El multimillonario egipcio Mohamed al-Fayed ha muerto a los 94 años.
Al-Fayed empezó como vendedor e hizo dinero en el sector inmobiliario y de la construcción en Oriente Medio y Europa. Era propietario de símbolos británicos como Harrods y el Fulham FC, y siempre se le consideró un intruso en el Reino Unido. Mantuvo una larga discusión con el gobierno británico sobre la ciudadanía y a menudo hablaba de trasladarse a Francia, donde recibió un premio importante.
Al-Fayed pasó diez años intentando demostrar que Diana y su hijo murieron en un accidente de coche en 1997 y que el accidente fue un asesinato. Acusó a la familia real británica de haber provocado el accidente. Al-Fayed murió un día antes del 26 aniversario de sus muertes.
