Choque en Lisboa – nivel 1

En Lisboa, el funicular Glória sufre un accidente. Se sale de la vía y choca contra un edificio.
Mueren dieciséis personas. Tres son de Gran Bretaña. Otras personas son de Portugal, Corea del Sur, Canadá, Suiza, Ucrania, EEUU y Francia. Más de 20 personas resultan heridas. Seis personas están muy enfermas.
La empresa de transporte público, Carris, dice que los trabajadores revisan el funicular muchas veces. También hacen una gran revisión en 2024. La mañana del accidente, los trabajadores hacen otra comprobación. Todo parece estar bien, pero más tarde se produce el accidente.
La policía examina el problema. Piensan que el cable o los frenos no funcionan. También piensan que quizá la empresa no se preocupa lo suficiente.
