Robert Moritz, Presidente Global de PWC, nos da su perspectiva sobre la globalización.
Según Moritz, la globalización no ha muerto; sin embargo, está experimentando una transformación. Puede que el comercio y el compromiso globales tradicionales a escala mundial sean limitados, pero sigue habiendo necesidad de tales interacciones, aunque sobre una base más regional o bilateral. Moritz prevé un cambio hacia una mayor regionalización en lugar de fragmentación, con regiones como Norteamérica, Europa y Asia integrándose y convergiendo. A pesar de la percepción de una mayor fragmentación, son evidentes los esfuerzos por aumentar la exposición comercial y las exportaciones entre los países de estas regiones.
Moritz sugiere que el crecimiento económico puede derivarse de la desagregación más que de la integración global. Prevén una evolución de la globalización, haciendo hincapié en una globalización más regional y posiblemente bilateral como una progresión imparable y lógica en el comercio mundial.
