Giorgio Armani, diseñador de moda italiano, ha muerto a los 91 años.

Cambió la moda masculina en los años 70, cuando hizo la chaqueta más ligera y fácil de llevar. Su estilo sencillo se hizo famoso, y creó una gran empresa que vendía ropa, perfumes, muebles y hoteles. Armani se convirtió en un símbolo de la moda italiana en todo el mundo.

Nació en 1934 en Piacenza y más tarde se trasladó a Milán. Estudió medicina, pero lo dejó y empezó a trabajar en la moda. Tras ayudar al diseñador Nino Cerruti, abrió su propia marca en 1975. Sus diseños aparecieron en películas de Hollywood, y muchas estrellas vistieron sus trajes.

Armani nunca vendió su empresa y quería que siguiera siendo independiente. Su familia y su equipo cercano continuarán su trabajo.
