‘Gingerbread NYC‘ tiene lugar en el Museo de la Ciudad de Nueva York.
Panaderos de los cinco distritos se unen al evento y crean modelos de pan de jengibre de lugares famosos de la ciudad. Utilizan los edificios y símbolos de Nueva York como inspiración y los convierten en divertidas y detalladas escenas comestibles.
Los visitantes pueden ver muchas creaciones, como la Estatua de la Libertad, el transbordador de Governor’s Island, el tranvía de Roosevelt Island y una escena callejera de Un árbol crece en Brooklyn. Un panadero hizo la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales de Newtown Creek, y otro eligió una comida popular de Nueva York: un bagel con crema de queso.
También hay un escenario de Broadway de pan de jengibre que muestra personajes de famosos musicales. La gente puede visitar el evento hasta el 19 de enero y votar por su creación favorita.
