Casi 85.000 hogares y empresas están sin electricidad en la zona de Los Ángeles debido a las tormentas que azotan partes de California, Estados Unidos.
Las inusuales tormentas invernales han seguido azotando partes de California con lluvia, nieve y temperaturas bajo cero. La intensa nevada obligó a cerrar las carreteras en las zonas más elevadas, y varios puntos de la autopista en Los Ángeles y sus alrededores se cerraron debido a las inundaciones causadas por la lluvia y el granizo. Las autoridades advirtieron a los residentes de la capital del estado, Sacramento, que evitaran viajar desde el domingo hasta el miércoles.
El domingo, las tormentas trajeron rachas de viento de hasta 80 kilómetros por hora en el valle de Sacramento y de hasta 110 kilómetros por hora en las cercanas montañas de Sierra Nevada.
