El presidente Joe Biden pide perdón por los internados indios. Estas escuelas tienen habitaciones para niños. Los niños viven allí. El gobierno de EEUU ayuda a crear y pagar estas escuelas.
Estas escuelas están abiertas desde 1819 hasta 1969. Los niños indígenas deben vivir lejos de sus familias. No pueden hablar sus lenguas ni mostrar su cultura. Muchos niños mueren en estas escuelas. Las cifras oficiales dicen que son 1.000 niños. Pero pueden ser muchos más.
Es bueno que EEUU pida perdón. Pero el pueblo estadounidense debe conocer esta historia. Deben comprender lo malo que es.
