Un robot submarino – nivel 3

Científicos de Tethys Robotics, una empresa derivada de la ETH de Zúrich, han creado un dron robótico submarino capaz de realizar tareas demasiado arriesgadas para los buceadores humanos.
El vehículo autónomo está diseñado para entornos difíciles, como canales y ríos turbios, y sirve como alternativa cuando los métodos tradicionales de búsqueda y rescate resultan ineficaces. El robot Tethys está equipado con una batería de litio reemplazable, que proporciona hasta cuatro horas de funcionamiento con una sola carga.
El robot pesa 30 kg en el agua, puede alcanzar velocidades de 2 metros por segundo y tiene un alcance de cable de fibra óptica de hasta 10 km.
