Científicos de Tethys Robotics, una empresa suiza de la ETH de Zúrich, fabrican un robot especial.
Este robot trabaja bajo el agua. Va a lugares demasiado peligrosos para las personas. El robot funciona solo. Puede manejarse en lugares difíciles, como ríos con agua sucia. Ayuda cuando las formas normales de encontrar y salvar cosas no funcionan.
El robot tiene una batería que dura cuatro horas. Pesa 30 kg cuando está en el agua. Puede desplazarse a una velocidad de 2 metros por segundo. También puede comunicarse a través de un cable de fibra óptica. El cable tiene hasta 10 metros de longitud.
