La Silla de la Coronación es una silla destinada a la coronación de los reyes y reinas británicos.
La silla tiene más de 700 años. El rey Eduardo I ordenó fabricar la silla en 1296. En la silla hay una piedra especial procedente de Escocia. Se llama la Piedra del Destino. La silla también lleva vidrios de colores y capas de oro. Pero con el paso de los años, la silla envejece. Es necesario volver a darle un aspecto nuevo.
La coronación de casi todos los reyes y reinas británicos tiene lugar en esta silla. La propia madre del rey Carlos, Isabel II, se convierte en reina en la silla. El 6 de mayo, Carlos III también se convertirá oficialmente en rey en esta silla.
