En Estados Unidos, un hombre de 65 años cae a través del hielo en el lago Arbutus.
Un agente de la policía estatal, Kammeron Bennetts, se encuentra cerca. Utiliza al perro del hombre, Ruby, para rescatarlo. Bennetts lleva una cámara. Lanza un disco de rescate. No funciona. Le pide al hombre que le envíe a Ruby. Bennetts engancha el disco al collar de Ruby. Después, tira del hombre para ponerlo a salvo.
