El Espacio Schengen permite a las personas viajar libremente entre países de Europa. Ahora, se enfrenta a problemas. Alemania vuelve a controlar sus fronteras después de que un hombre procedente de Siria atacara a personas en el país. Hungría también amenaza con enviar migrantes a Bélgica. Quieren hacerlo por una multa de la UE. Estos controles en las fronteras no son de lo que trata Schengen. Schengen consiste en facilitar los viajes entre países.
Pero desde 2015, cada vez más países vuelven a realizar controles fronterizos. La Unión Europea quiere que los países dejen de hacerlo. Algunos países se niegan a hacerlo. Schengen sigue funcionando, pero es más difícil mantenerlo sin fronteras.
