En Chile, las largas sequías, el calor y las condiciones meteorológicas inusuales dificultan el cultivo de la uva. Los pequeños agricultores tienen dificultades porque no disponen de suficiente agua. Las grandes empresas utilizan la ciencia y nuevas herramientas para proteger las plantas y controlar el uso del agua. En Alemania, el clima más cálido ayuda a que las uvas crezcan mejor que antes. La calidad del vino mejora porque las uvas maduran más fácilmente. Sin embargo, surgen nuevos problemas, como los insectos y las tormentas más fuertes que pueden dañar las explotaciones agrícolas.

El cambio climático modifica los lugares donde se puede producir vino. Algunos lugares pueden producir un vino mejor, mientras que otros pierden producción. Los productores de vino deben adaptarse rápidamente y cambiar sus métodos si quieren seguir teniendo éxito en el futuro.
