Truong My Lan, rica empresaria vietnamita, es culpable de un gran fraude por valor de más de 12.000 millones de dólares. Fue condenada a muerte, pero pide un nuevo juicio.
Su caso conmocionó al mundo empresarial vietnamita. Lan inició sus negocios comprando terrenos baratos en la década de 1980 y creó una importante empresa inmobiliaria. Con el tiempo, también se hizo con el control de un banco y utilizó empresas falsas para obtener grandes préstamos.
El gobierno de Vietnam intenta reducir la corrupción, pero esto afecta a las actividades empresariales.
