Los venezolanos votan por la tierra en Guyana – nivel 2

El pasado fin de semana, los venezolanos votaron en un referéndum respaldado por el presidente Nicolás Maduro.
El referéndum se refería a un problema con Guyana. El territorio del río Essequibo está en Guyana, cerca de la frontera con Venezuela, y Venezuela quiere recuperarlo. Algunos creen que la zona es rica en petróleo. Guyana solicitó detener el referéndum, pero el Tribunal Internacional de Justicia no lo prohibió y pidió a ambos países que no empeoraran aún más la situación.
Los expertos creen que Maduro está utilizando el referéndum para probar su fuerza antes de las elecciones presidenciales de 2024, y esperan que se apruebe porque no hay una oposición fuerte. Los votantes esperan recuperar el territorio.
