El secretario de Estado de EE. UU., Marco Rubio, estuvo de visita en la India durante cuatro días. Se reunió con el primer ministro indio en Nueva Delhi para hablar de negocios, seguridad y energía.

La energía es el mayor problema en este momento porque hay una guerra en Irán. Esta guerra ha paralizado los buques petroleros en Oriente Medio, y la India necesita desesperadamente petróleo para sus fábricas y coches. Marco Rubio dijo que Estados Unidos quiere vender mucha energía a la India para ayudar. Las relaciones entre Estados Unidos y la India no siempre son fáciles. El presidente de EE. UU., Donald Trump, tiene una buena relación con Pakistán, lo que no le hace gracia a la India. Además, ambos países han tenido disputas sobre aranceles en el pasado. Trump bajó recientemente estos impuestos porque la India prometió comprar aviones, tecnología y energía estadounidenses. Durante su viaje, Rubio también se reunirá con líderes de Japón y Australia para hablar de paz.
