La crisis del fentanilo en EEUU es grave. El año pasado se registraron más de 100.000 muertes, la mayoría debidas a opioides como el fentanilo. Son mucho más fuertes que la heroína.
Brian es de San Francisco y era adicto al fentanilo. Estuvo tres años sin hogar. Necesitaba tanto las drogas que robaba cosas para tener dinero para comprarlas. Vio morir a mucha gente por sobredosis.
La salud de Brian empeoró y se le infectaron las piernas. Tuvo suerte de sobrevivir y dejó las drogas hace casi un año. Su historia nos habla de los problemas de las personas adictas y de lo peligrosos que pueden ser los opiáceos.
