Un informe de la BBC revela que muchos minimercados del Reino Unido venden cigarrillos ilegales. La policía y las autoridades dicen que es difícil acabar con este problema.

Creen que las bandas traen los cigarrillos y ganan mucho dinero. Algunos trabajadores de estas tiendas son solicitantes de asilo que no pueden trabajar legalmente.

Los trabajadores esconden los cigarrillos en túneles bajo el suelo de las tiendas. En una tienda había muchas bolsas llenas de cigarrillos de contrabando. Incluso cuando la policía descubre una tienda, a veces vuelve a abrir pronto.

En la ciudad de Hull, los periodistas encontraron muchas tiendas que vendían tabaco ilegal. Este delito es ya habitual en las calles principales británicas. Los expertos dicen que este negocio es muy grande y puede ser como la venta de drogas. También conlleva otros delitos, como negocios ilegales con personas y delitos monetarios.
