Proyecto de energía eólica en los EAU – nivel 2

Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) acaba de revelar su primer gran proyecto de energía eólica, dirigido por la empresa de energías renovables Masdar.
Este proyecto puede producir 103,5 megavatios de electricidad, y suministrará energía a más de 23.000 hogares cada año en cuatro lugares distintos. Reducirá las emisiones de dióxido de carbono en unas 120.000 toneladas al año, lo que equivale a retirar 26.000 coches de la carretera.
Para conseguirlo, Masdar trabajó con PowerChina y GoldWind International para crear turbinas especiales que pueden funcionar incluso cuando el viento no es muy fuerte. Los EAU acogen la cumbre sobre el clima COP 28 y el país se está tomando en serio las energías renovables, incluidas la nuclear y la solar.
