Baia es una ciudad romana. Tiene más de 2.000 años de antigüedad.
Es un lugar popular entre la gente rica y los políticos de la antigua Roma. Hoy en día, los peces nadan por la ciudad. 15.000 submarinistas y turistas la visitan cada año. ¿Cómo es posible? Hace cientos de años, la ciudad se desplaza hacia el mar. Un volcán del Mediterráneo la desplaza. Entonces, toda la ciudad queda bajo el agua. Los buceadores la vuelven a encontrar en 1969.
Hoy, la gente puede nadar por la ciudad. Ven hermosas estatuas y mosaicos. Algunas cosas no son reales. Los animales y las plantas del mar pueden romper las estatuas. La gente las saca. Vuelven a poner copias de las mismas cosas en el mar.
