Hoy en día hay muchas guerras en el mundo, pero solo vemos unas pocas en la tele. Algunas guerras son invisibles porque están muy lejos. Si las noticias no hablan de una guerra, el mundo no intenta detenerla.
Esto es un gran problema para la gente de lugares como África. Ellos sufren mientras el resto del mundo ve otras noticias. Los editores de noticias suelen elegir las historias que creen que la gente quiere ver. Creen que a la gente solo le importan las cosas que están cerca de sus propias vidas. Además, mucha gente deja de ver las noticias porque les ponen tristes. Por eso, hay guerras de las que la gente no se entera. Tenemos que encontrar una forma de que la gente se preocupe por todo el mundo. Una forma de ayudar es escuchar a los periodistas locales. Estas personas viven en el país y conocen la verdad. Pueden contar historias sobre personas reales y no solo dar cifras. Cuando vemos que las personas que están en las guerras son como nosotros, queremos ayudarlas más. Debemos recordar que cada vida es importante y que cada guerra necesita nuestra atención.
