EEUU y China llegan a un acuerdo para que TikTok pueda permanecer en el país. El secretario del Tesoro, Scott Bessent, habla sobre este acuerdo, y el presidente Donald Trump escribe en Internet que los jóvenes estarán muy contentos con él.
Trump retrasa tres veces una ley que obliga a ByteDance, la empresa matriz de TikTok, a vender parte de la aplicación. Políticos de ambos partidos estadounidenses apoyan esta ley. Les preocupa que el gobierno chino pueda leer los datos estadounidenses y cambiar el algoritmo de TikTok.
TikTok es muy popular en Estados Unidos, con más de 170 millones de usuarios. El último aplazamiento de la prohibición finaliza el 17 de septiembre, pero ahora el nuevo acuerdo parece una solución. Trump también hablará pronto con el presidente de China, Xi Jinping.
