El presidente estadounidense Donald Trump ordenó ataques aéreos contra lugares militares en Venezuela.
Los habitantes de la capital oyeron explosiones. Salió humo, las casas se movieron y mucha gente sintió miedo. Más tarde, la ciudad se tranquilizó, pero la gente envió muchos mensajes a familiares y amigos.
El gobierno venezolano rechazó el ataque y habló en contra de EEUU. Los dirigentes dijeron que EEUU quería petróleo y otros recursos. Pidieron ayuda a otros países y solicitaron la reunión del Consejo de Seguridad. El gobierno declaró la emergencia nacional, pero las autoridades no calmaron claramente a la población. Los expertos dicen que el ejército venezolano no pudo detener el ataque estadounidense.
Las fuerzas estadounidenses se llevaron al presidente Nicolás Maduro y a su esposa a Nueva York. Maduro irá a juicio por drogas y armas. Trump dice que EEUU controlará el país durante un tiempo.
