En el pasado, los arqueólogos siempre tenían que excavar en el suelo para estudiar las ciudades antiguas y la forma en que vivía la gente hace cientos de años. Sin embargo, ahora existe una nueva tecnología que ayuda a los arqueólogos a estudiar las ciudades antiguas.
Un radar especial escanea la zona a distintas profundidades, y los arqueólogos pueden hacer un mapa a partir de los escaneos. Esta tecnología es genial porque los investigadores pueden estudiar ciudades que antes no podían descubrir.
Recientemente, los científicos han explorado la ciudad romana de Falerii Novi, situada a 31 millas al norte de Roma (Italia). Falerii Novi tiene aproximadamente la mitad del tamaño de Pompeya (Italia), y los primeros habitantes la ocuparon en el año 241 a.C. La nueva tecnología descubrió baños, un mercado, un templo y una gran red de conducciones de agua.
