El Campeonato Mundial de Tango de Argentina es un acontecimiento importante. Parejas de muchos países acuden a Buenos Aires para competir.
El evento dura dos semanas e incluye música en directo, clases de baile y bailes sociales llamados milongas. El tango comenzó en el siglo XIX cerca del Río de la Plata, entre Argentina y Uruguay. Ahora forma parte de su patrimonio cultural. A competidores como Vanessa Giraldo y Jeison Ravagli, de Colombia, les cuesta ahorrar dinero para venir, pero les encanta el tango porque les cambia la vida.
Un profesor de tango dice que el abrazo del tango muestra respeto y emoción. El tango une a la gente con amor y alegría, convirtiéndolo en una parte importante de la vida en Buenos Aires.
