Extraño animal viejo – nivel 3

Los científicos han reunido por fin los fósiles de un animal descubierto hace más de medio siglo.
Colocaron los fósiles en un microscopio electrónico, con la esperanza inicial de encontrar ojos, pero se asombraron al encontrar dientes que les sonreían. El animal se conoce como Hallucigenia y tenía forma de gusano. Medía unos 5 centímetros de largo, tenía siete pares de patas terminadas en garras y largas espinas que brotaban de su espalda.
Su boca estaba recubierta de dientes, que también revestían su garganta, y podía flexionarse hacia dentro y hacia fuera a medida que el animal tiraba de la comida.
La criatura está lejanamente emparentada con los insectos actuales y murió en el barro hace 508 millones de años.
