Caster Semenya es una famosa corredora de Sudáfrica. Ganó dos medallas de oro olímpicas en los 800 metros. Nació con una enfermedad llamada DSD. Por ello, su cuerpo tiene más testosterona que el de otras mujeres.
En 2019, la Asociación Mundial de Atletismo estableció una norma según la cual las mujeres con un alto nivel de testosterona no pueden participar en algunas carreras. Caster acudió a los tribunales porque considera que esta norma no es justa. El Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos dijo que un tribunal suizo no le dio una oportunidad justa para hablar.
Caster todavía no puede volver a correr, pero se alegra de que el tribunal haya apoyado parte de su caso. Quiere proteger sus derechos y ayudar a otros como ella. Ha luchado por ello durante muchos años.
