Una pitón de 7 metros (23 pies) se sometió a su revisión anual. La serpiente es la más grande de Europa. Pesa unos 60 kilogramos.
Diez personas del zoo la llevaron al veterinario y le revisaron el corazón con ultrasonidos. Así los médicos pueden saber mucho sobre la salud del corazón.
Los expertos probaron pruebas similares en jirafas y tiburones, pero los corazones de serpiente les interesan más. El corazón de una serpiente tiene tres cámaras, no cuatro como el corazón humano.
