James Crumbley, padre de Ethan Crumbley, que mató a cuatro personas en el tiroteo del instituto de Oxford, Michigan, es culpable de homicidio involuntario.

Es el primer caso en EEUU en que un tribunal dice que los padres son responsables de los actos de sus hijos. James no aseguró el arma que su hijo utilizó en el tiroteo, pero era su deber. Michigan no tenía una ley al respecto en el momento del tiroteo, pero el tribunal dijo que James fue negligente. El estado mental de Ethan era malo, pero sus padres no le ayudaron de ninguna manera.

El veredicto es muy importante para futuros casos. Es importante responsabilizar a los padres de los actos de sus hijos.
