Los científicos de una estación de investigación de Noruega tienen problemas para investigar la región ártica. Necesitan trabajar rápido porque la zona está cambiando. Los cambios son más rápidos que en cualquier otra parte del mundo.
El Ártico se está calentando cuatro veces más rápido que otros lugares. En las islas Svalbard, las temperaturas están subiendo hasta siete veces más rápido que en el resto del mundo. El hielo marino se está derritiendo. Los animales del Ártico, como los osos polares, están cambiando su comportamiento. Encuentran nuevas zonas para cazar. Los edificios resultan dañados por el deshielo y el suelo. También es cada vez más difícil llegar a los lugares de investigación.
Los científicos trabajan deprisa. Quieren comprender cómo afectarán estos cambios al futuro del planeta.
