Las organizaciones sin ánimo de lucro de Brasil, como Rioterra y la Fundación Jaguar Negro, se enfrentan a problemas para salvar partes de la selva amazónica.
Luchan contra las confiscaciones ilegales de tierras y los ataques a los trabajadores. No tienen mucho dinero para sus actividades. Además, no es fácil hacer crecer rápidamente tantos árboles nuevos. A pesar de estos problemas, la reforestación puede ayudar a luchar contra el cambio climático. Los árboles capturan dióxido de carbono y son el hogar de muchos animales. Brasil tiene mucha tierra que antes era bosque, pero hará falta mucho dinero para restaurarla. Aunque últimamente el gobierno ha destinado menos dinero a la reforestación, organizaciones como Rioterra y la Fundación Jaguar Negro siguen trabajando para conseguir sus grandes objetivos.
