Drones rusos cerca de las fronteras rumanas – nivel 3

Rumanía desplegó rápidamente aviones de combate aliados de la OTAN, entre ellos Eurofighter Typhoons alemanes y posteriormente F-16 rumanos, después de que sofisticados sistemas de radar detectaran presuntos drones rusos operando cerca de la frontera rumana, cerca del

importante ciudad portuaria ucraniana de Izmail.

Estas interceptaciones aéreas se llevaron a cabo en el marco de las funciones permanentes de policía aérea de la OTAN, inicialmente impulsadas por la aparición de objetivos y posteriormente reforzadas al detectarse objetos adicionales cerca de la Isla de la Serpiente. Aunque ningún vehículo aéreo no tripulado extranjero penetró en el espacio aéreo rumano, y los objetivos de radar acabaron disipándose, se informó oficialmente de explosiones en el lado ucraniano de la frontera.

El Ministerio de Defensa rumano señaló que estos sucesos transfronterizos se han vuelto alarmantemente frecuentes, lo que ha hecho necesarias evacuaciones civiles previas y alertas formales. Estos repetidos incidentes han llevado al gobierno a emitir advertencias sobre los crecientes riesgos de desbordamiento regional y la posibilidad de que el conflicto se extienda involuntariamente al territorio de la OTAN.
