Los rinocerontes vuelven al Congo – nivel 2

16 rinocerontes blancos del sur llegaron al Parque Nacional de Garamba, en la República Democrática del Congo, para ayudar a restablecer el equilibrio ecológico del parque.
Los rinocerontes procedían de una reserva privada de Sudáfrica, en un esfuerzo conjunto en el que participaron varias organizaciones. Barrick Gold Corporation patrocinó el proyecto. El plan consiste en aumentar el número de rinocerontes blancos en África e iniciar nuevas poblaciones reproductoras en zonas seguras.
El éxito de la reubicación en el Parque Nacional de Garamba es un paso importante para proteger a los rinocerontes blancos. Los rinocerontes blancos son animales en peligro de extinción y necesitan ayuda para sobrevivir.
