El emir de Qatar, jeque Tamim, y su esposa, jequesa Jawaher, visitaron el Reino Unido.
El rey Carlos y el príncipe Guillermo les dieron la bienvenida, junto con la princesa Kate, que se reincorporó a sus funciones reales tras un tratamiento contra el cáncer. El primer ministro Keir Starmer también se reunió con el emir para hablar de inversiones. El emir asistió a una ceremonia en el Horse Guards Parade, pero la reina Camilla se saltó los actos al aire libre porque se estaba recuperando de una neumonía. Más tarde asistió a la cena de Estado.
El rey Carlos elogió a Qatar por contribuir a los esfuerzos de paz y apoyar proyectos de energía limpia. Afirmó que su visita apoya la amistad entre ambos países, que ya colaboran en energía y ciencia.
