Qatar no pone fin a la guerra entre Israel y Gaza – nivel 2

Qatar ha dejado recientemente de trabajar como mediador en las conversaciones de paz entre Israel y Hamás debido a la lentitud de los avances.

Estados Unidos también mostró su preocupación por la oficina de Hamás en Qatar. Dijeron que no ayudaba a las conversaciones porque Hamás rechazaba nuevas ofertas de paz. Qatar intentó acercar a Israel y Hamás a un acuerdo para poner fin a los combates. Pero tras comprobar que Hamás e Israel no querían trabajar juntos, Qatar decidió que era mejor dejarlo.

Funcionarios qataríes dijeron que podrían volver a ayudar en el futuro, pero sólo si ambos grupos muestran más interés en alcanzar la paz. Ahora, Egipto puede ser el mediador porque sigue manteniendo estrechas relaciones con ambas partes.
