Tres científicos -John Clarke, Michel Devoret y John Martinis- ganan el Premio Nobel de Física por sus trabajos en mecánica cuántica.

Descubrieron cómo partículas muy pequeñas pueden comportarse de formas extrañas, y su trabajo ayuda a construir ordenadores cuánticos, que pueden calcular más rápido que los ordenadores normales.

La Real Academia Sueca de las Ciencias ha anunciado los ganadores, que se repartirán 11 millones de coronas suecas. Su investigación comenzó hace décadas, pero es muy importante hoy en día. Ayuda a científicos y empresas a crear nuevas tecnologías, como mejores ordenadores y nuevas formas de resolver problemas difíciles. Muchos bancos e industrias utilizan ahora ideas de su trabajo.
