El gasto en IA está creciendo muy rápidamente. Para 2030, podría alcanzar los 2 billones de dólares anuales. Grandes empresas como Apple, Google y Microsoft están construyendo nuevos sistemas informáticos y centros de datos.
A algunas personas les preocupa que este gasto oculte problemas económicos. Piensan que la economía parece fuerte sólo por el dinero de la IA. Otros creen que la IA ayudará a que la economía crezca y a que el trabajo sea más rápido. Aun así, existen riesgos. Si las empresas piden prestado demasiado dinero y los beneficios disminuyen, podría perjudicar a la economía.
Además, no todo el mundo se beneficia de la IA. Los ricos y las grandes empresas ganan más, pero muchos trabajadores ganan menos o pierden su empleo. Los expertos dicen que el 60% de los empleos podrían cambiar a causa de la IA.
