En Nueva Zelanda, una familia iba de excursión por un sendero de 60 kilómetros. Se detuvieron para descansar y acampar; sacaron su GoPro para grabar a los loros kea cuando un kea cleptómano les robó la cámara.
El ave escapó mientras la GoPro grababa su vuelo, y entonces la cámara grabó al ave atacándola y arrancándole trozos de plástico. El kea salió volando cuando la familia lo encontró. La cámara seguía grabando.
El kea es famoso por ser curioso y causar problemas juguetonamente. El loro roba cosas a la gente para aprender sobre ellas, como carteras, joyas, almuerzos y limpiaparabrisas.
