Él y otras nueve personas fueron a juicio por ciberacoso, y el tribunal los declaró culpables. El escritor recibió una sentencia suspendida de seis meses y dijo que no se arrepentía.

La familia Macron explicó cómo las publicaciones causaron dolor y estrés. Las historias se difundieron rápidamente en las redes sociales y llegaron a mucha gente. El juez dijo que estas acciones causaron daño y que no se trataba de opiniones normales ni de humor.
