El boxeo olímpico y las pruebas de ADN – nivel 2

La italiana Angela Carini abandonó su combate de boxeo olímpico contra la argelina Imane Khelif a los 46 segundos. Dijo que lo hizo para protegerse.
Imane Khelif puede boxear en los Juegos Olímpicos de París aunque el año pasado no superó las pruebas de género. Las pruebas demostraron que tiene cromosomas XY, lo que significa que es un varón biológico. El COI dice que aún puede competir porque su pasaporte dice que es mujer. Khelif empezó a boxear en 2018 y luchó en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2021, donde perdió en cuartos de final. Muchas boxeadoras piensan que esto es injusto porque ella tiene ventaja.
El sábado, Khelif luchó contra la húngara Anna Luca Hamori en los cuartos de final de los 66 kg. Ganó, y seguramente conseguirá una medalla olímpica. El portavoz del COI declaró que intentan que el deporte sea justo y seguro para todos.
