La princesa noruega Marta Luisa se casó con Durek Verrett, gurú espiritual estadounidense, en una ceremonia a la que asistió la realeza noruega, incluido el rey.
La boda se celebró en Geiranger, y marcó el final de tres días de festejos para celebrar la relación de la pareja, que comenzó en 2019. Marta Luisa, cuarta en la línea de sucesión al trono, abandonó sus funciones reales en 2022 para centrarse en sus negocios, y tanto ella como Verrett acordaron no utilizar comercialmente su título de princesa. Sin embargo, recibieron críticas por vincular su estatus real con actividades comerciales, especialmente tras promocionar una ginebra rosa para su boda. La ceremonia, a diferencia de su primera boda, fue privada y sólo asistieron algunos medios de comunicación.
Verrett, aunque forma parte de la extensa familia real, no se convertirá en príncipe. El matrimonio se ha considerado controvertido debido a las anteriores afirmaciones de Martha Louise sobre su clarividencia y a las prácticas chamánicas de su nuevo marido.
