Nancy Pelosi, famosa política estadounidense, ha declarado que se retirará del Congreso. Fue la primera mujer en ser Presidenta de la Cámara de Representantes.
En su mensaje, habló con cariño de San Francisco, su ciudad natal, y la calificó de lugar de belleza y creatividad. Dijo que se siente orgullosa de ayudar a la gente a tener una mejor asistencia sanitaria y de apoyar las energías limpias. Pelosi agradeció a sus votantes su confianza y dijo que era un honor hablar en su nombre en Washington. También pidió a la gente que se mantuviera activa en la democracia y que protegiera la libertad y la paz. Dijo que San Francisco debe seguir siendo un ejemplo fuerte para los demás en el futuro.
