Los médicos de Melbourne están probando una nueva forma de ayudar a las personas con enfermedades graves. El tratamiento utiliza una droga procedente de las ‘setas mágicas‘ y la conversación con los médicos.
Participan 35 personas. Muchos se sienten menos tristes y tienen menos miedo. También se sienten más tranquilos cuando piensan en la muerte. Un hombre, Michael Quinn, tiene cáncer. Participa en el programa. Su mujer Pat dice que le hace sentirse mejor y más relajado. Sigue preocupándose, pero está más tranquilo.
Las personas tomaban el fármaco en una sala tranquila con música. También hablaban con los médicos. Esta nueva forma no es buena para todas las personas, pero puede ayudar a algunas. Los médicos quieren aprender más y hacerlo más fácil para mucha gente.
