En la pequeña isla de El Hierro, muchos migrantes mueren o desaparecen.
El experto Modesto Martínez revisa los cadáveres de los migrantes que mueren tras llegar de África Occidental. Este año mueren 33 migrantes, es decir, más que el año pasado. Mueren porque no tienen comida, agua ni refugio durante el viaje.
Muchos migrantes tiran sus documentos de identidad para que las autoridades no los devuelvan a su país. Esto hace que sea difícil saber quiénes son. Algunas personas ponen flores en la tumba de un migrante llamado Bathie Barry. Quieren mostrar respeto por él y por otros migrantes que mueren.
